Overpacks & Salvage Drums

Salvage drums and overpacks are secondary containment drums used to support the safe handling and transport of materials. All salvage drums are considered overpacks, but not all overpacks meet the requirements of salvage drums.

Overpacks are used for secondary containment during storage or transport and may not be intended for hazardous materials or active leaks unless properly rated.

Salvage drums are approved for the containment and transport of compromised drums containing hazardous materials and are commonly used during spill response and incident cleanup.
